Well, well, well, Thank hossie for kicking us off.
I am going to reserve my nominations until Sunday to see what the participation is like.
I will then confirm with each member if they accept their nomination as guild officer/leader and then i will create a poll for the remainder of the guild to vote for the nominees.
Any idea how many officers you would like? including guild leader?
I was thinking a team of 3 or 4 should do the trick, but that is just my opinion, we can discuss - let's decide by Sunday though.

Ok, gonna climb in right there and make my nominations so i can just sit back and relax the rest of the weekend.
Guild leader: Hoss
Reason: He's passionate about the group and about the game, he is a capable leader, can be stern when he needs to be and he is fair.
Concern: My only concern is that Hoss does not play as much as everyone else, but play time should not be a criterion for the guild leader. Plus, i think being guild leader, he'll be on more.
Officer 1: Stoke
Reason: Incredible man and incredible leader and as goofy as they come to not make a mountain out of a molehill. I think Stoke was a brilliant councilmember, in fact, i want him BACK on the council, but if i can get him to accept a leadership position in the WoW guild, it's already a small victory.
Concern: No major concern really. And i thought about it, and i can't think of anything that worries me about Stoker.
Officer 2: Eyeball
Reason: He knows the content really well and he is a very pleasant people person. He engages on a game level and a personal level and has a f*****g beautiful heart. He'll be a good shoulder to cry on and an excellent raid leader.
Concern: Nothing major really, i just think EB need to take cognisance of the group he is in and handle any situation accordingly. Example: When flatspin is in your group, don't make a silly joke, cause he will take you seriously. Otherwise i think he is the man for the job.
Officer 3: Nitty
Reason: Cause i would listen to her and she is a good WarGeek. Admittedly this group will no longer be WarGeeks in game, but they will be in heart and having nitty there as the mom to look after you kids might just be a good move.
Concern: In this context, no real concern.
I've gone through the list of players who are left and the AMOUNT of players who are left, and these individual are the ones who stood out for me. They are the ones i would listen to and they are the ones who will not EF around and i think they will do a pretty good job.
I want to make honourable mention of Gala and Grooly and Mugato, but the beautiful thing about Nity and Gala is that i know she will discuss matters of importance with him and that when i nominate Nitty, i actually nominate both of them, but nitty is the obvious choice due to her activeness on the site. Grooly i just like. i don't know why, maybe it's cause his avatar is cute, or because he's a gnome, i just know i never have kak with him (or Mugato) and i think these two boys have the potential to make wonderful contribution to the new guild. And iw ould LOVE to see you two boys (Grooly and Mugato) take charge on a few things, you don't have to be an officer to support your guild.
As for the other blues and greens that are not on so frequently, out of the collective Dormie, alzemash, blokkies et al, there isn't really any bad apples among them, they're a good bunch, and i trust that the nominated officers have the right relationship with them, and the the rest of the guild.
This is my team, the team that i plan on following for a change.
Just a side note, because i am a council member, i have decided not to run for office (:p) I will ,as always, support the chosen leaders and even lead the occasional raid, but i feel in order for us to make that clean break and that clean start, i am not making myself eligible, so we can have an all new team in the driver's seat. I will still be playing WoW with you guys all the way, and i am ALWAYS available to give advice or to make a ruling if it comes to that, but effectively, these people will be the new guild leaders (if they are voted in) and these people's direction supersedes that of the council, seeing that WoW is no longer a supported game.
I sincerely hope you are all available to run for office, you are my dream team.
Now go and have a good weekend, and play the game you love!

I think Blinks suggestions are great. We just need to see which guys are still available to run for guild office. Sneaky has left the guild and it looks like wizard is also on his way out which is very sad
Hoss as guild leader is a great idea I support that. Other suggestions are also great, we just need to make sure the guys are available

Thank you for those who nominated me - I feel honoured to be part of this 5-man show :p No seriously, I would love to act as a back-up officer for Hoss & Blinky, if we manage to get a new (old) guild together. Is Crosseye still playing? I dont' think Pwinnie left, did she? And I'm sure Stokey will be back - I will nag him so much he won't have a choice

I have had a long chat with my friend, Uncle Thumpy and i did some soul searching this weekend. You can ask Vudu and TG and Thumpy, i have been back and forth on this issue, but i have ultimately decided to avail myself for Guild officership (And willing, guild leadership) ((Sorry for being so damn bi-polar chaps, will get it together! :D ))
In addition to this, Thumpy has been gracious enough to avail himself to also be eligible for officer/guild leader election. He won't be on WoW as much as always, but he is still active on the forums and he knows the team that has stayed behind and has always helped with whatever, wherever he can. I think he would make an INCREDIBLE addition to this team.
Ok, so i am going to post the poll on the front page of this thread at 6pm, if you have any more nominations, please feel free to make them before 6pm.

No more nominees? Well then, the poll went live.
Personally i think we should just appoint those 4 and if it comes to a 2 - 2 split in a decision, the ultimate choice is with the guild master. Just a thought.

Sorry chaps I've been away for the weekend so Im not sure of all the events. Im busy reading through everything and althought I appreciate the nominations for guild leader I must decline. It is exactly Blinky's concern, I am not online enough. I feel there is no way I could do the guild justice. I am however very happy to take on the role of officer, I feel I can help Blinky bring the crowds back to the fold. Small steps :D

But seriously- Flatty has a point. Thanks to the guys and our capable chairwoman for doing this but dont feel pressured to accept an appointment cause you feel obliged.
PS: Looks like our officers have kinda been decided and I must admit I think we have a great team leading the new guild. I for one am very excited.

Damn right I would - it'd be the same reasoning that Hitler's generals didn't kill him....because they knew Hitler was crazy & only he could lose the war faster than any of them could. If, on the other hand, Hitler hadn't invaded Russia in winter, like Napoleon did, I can guarantee you we would be looking at a very different world today.
Malema, Malema, Malema for el Presidente. Viva la Mampoer!
---------- Post added at 06:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:33 PM ----------
BTW - whoever wants the job can have it in my opinion. At the end of the day it is going to require strong leadership & commitment to pick up the broken pieces AND if you can do that, I vote for you for President once Malema has idestroyed everything with his plank.
