Thanks for the messages. We arrived safely in Frankfurt this morning. It's quite chilly compared to Joburg at this stage, but I suppose not too bad for winter in Europe. About 10 degrees, overcast & little bit wet at times. Not much else to report at this stage.

Sorry to interject, but the picture triggered a memory.

Tres, did you see the film Perfume? It made the rounds on the nouveau circuit about two or three years ago, but should be available for download or at a decent Video/DVD rental place. It really is worth it.

It's about a boy that is born with an extraordinary sense of smell and then of course how he goes to work employing that skill, but in this story, he works for a a perfumer (or perfumist, don't know what they're called - the actor is Dustin Hoffman, so it's a very eccentric chap, as you can imagine) anyhoozer, Dustin's store is on something that looks a lot like that bridge picture you posted. Plus, they destroy a section of it in the film.

Anyway, trivia, nonsense.

Perfume is still a great movie - artsy, yes, but good nonetheless.

All going well here thanks. Had a nice traditional German dinner tonight and then walked back to the hotel. It is rather nice to be able to walk at night without looking over your shoulder all the time ;) The only problem is that it is slightly chilly.

My training will be finishing tomorrow and then we're heading to the Black Forest for the weekend with some friends :D I will make sure to upload some photos shortly.
