Toshiba airs HDMI over Wifi (http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1591523/toshiba-airs-hdmi-wifi)

TOSHIBA AIRED at its new product showcase for 2010 two wireless concepts, My WiFi and also WiDi which is wireless HD video streaming from a computer to an HDTV.
My WiFi is based around a signal sign up session from a wireless device to a laptop, which doesn't need to happen from then onwards no matter how many different WiFi routers will be used as the computer acts as an access point for the devices.
All this is based around the Intel Capella technology, which is at the heart of some new Toshiba laptops. The other wireless technology shown off was WiDi, wireless streaming of a high definition picture from a computer straight to an HDTV over the airwaves. Used for the demonstration was a Netgear WiDi product, a Toshiba Capella based laptop and a Toshiba screen. Currently only a HD 720p signal is possible, but with a firmware update due this year from Intel, 1080p will be viewable as well.

I think 90% off people I meet from day to day still has no comfortable understanding of how to connect a pc to a tv. The concept is still too foreign. The only thing you can attach to a tv is a console or some device with its name ending in "... player"

I have the PS3 because there's some awesome games on it that you don't get anywhere else. BluRay is a bonus.
