So finally watched this last night.

Starts off with 20 year younger Dr. Xavier and Magneto meeting mutants and here they bump into a young Dr. Jean Grey and take her into their care.

Ok. All i wanted to see is the action, which does develop but at a slow pace. Sure the FX are well presented but there just seems not enough time to show what each main character in the movie has at stake in The Last Stand.

Midway through the movie you can already guess the ending and just wait for how the mutant vs mutant fight will work out.

Overall an average movie in my works, i expected more of a fight for it to be a Last Stand. ;)

This was the most disappointing movie I have seen in quite a while. The really dropped the ball with this one. I can see why one of their producers left during the making of the film. The plot is sub-par and just plain ridiculous considering the first two. Some characters that we met in the first two have miraculously disappeared.

They try to cover 3 different arcs from the comic book (Dark Phoenix, Cure, The Brotherhood of Mutants) at once to a huge failure IMHO.

There is no character development what so ever. Rogue is useless in the movie, Angel is there purely for cosmetic purposes Pyro is annoying and the genius mastermind Magneto is just plain stupid.

And some of the mutants look absolutely ridiculous, Read Juggernaut.

AND.....

Why the hell kill of Cyclops during the first 10 minutes of the movie and Xavier 20 minutes later?

In the comic books Wolverines love for Jean Grey was to great so he couldnt kill her during the Dark Phoenix Saga, in the movie this is not a problem.
