OK I need help - lets "pretend" for a moment I am a total noob incomtechnopent...
1. How do I set up team speak? In detail please :)
2. Will I be able to speak to everyone who is in the guild and online or just in that missions team?
3. Is there anything else I need to know about team speak and is it worth doing etc?
Thanks
Agent :D

Teamspeak is a game-independent program. It consists of a server and a client. Teamspeak can be configured with channels, so several people or groups can be on the same server for different purposes.
For more info you might want to visit the site www.goteamspeak.com.

The server is offline for me as well. Pios was hosting it and I do not know if he was maybe hosting it at the company he worked for, in which case it will now probably be permanently offline.

if that is the case then i guess we will have to go the xfire root unless they get another server up an running

I have set up a temp teamspeak server for tonight. See the guild only forum for the address.

What bandwidth requirements does teamspeak have? Like for an hour of continuous use? Cause my mate has a server just sitting there doing nothing, could probably put it on there. But he pays for bandwidth so I gotta know how much it will be.
Another thing, check out the G15 keyboard teamspeak plugin. It displays the name of who is currently talking, which is really nice cause you can actually see who is talking. :)

Sorry guys and girls, but I can unfortunately not maintain the TS server. It burned somewhere between 200 and 250MB last night. 200 * 30 days is unfortunately more than my 4GB cap.

it was really kewl tho... next time i will have a mic....
Thiugh as i understand it one should limit dialogue to that which is relevant to the game, (not sure how it works, does it use up band width just by being active or when ppl speak, scuse my ignorance new to the whole TS concept.
p.s Speak unto others before they speak unto you, and if u do not get a response , SHOUT LOUDER

I think it has to do with the number of peeps connected and the amount of talking that has to be relayed to everyone.

Yes, it only seems to use bandwidth when somebody is talking, breathing etc. I.e. when it has some sound to transmit. And then the fan-out to everybody connected adds up, i.e. how many people it needs to send the sound.

Prolly had a lot to do with Paragons mic sensitivity and typeing too loudly :D
Coulda sworn I heard him fart once or twice too!! :)

Yes, I do not know how Paragon stands the noise from his computer fan. It was even driving us crazy over teamspeak. I know in his line of study, some hearing damage is normal, but still....
And as Slappy said, it sounded like he was typing with his fist. Guess it was just the mike being too sensitive. :D

I have moved Tyrin's teamspeak server details to the private forum, to protect the password a bit.
