Since we're pretty much over BF2 & I presume we would all like to still have our muster, what do you guys say we nab one of the empty SGS servers & have our muster there?
I think it would be super cereal if we all got on a Squad Deathmatch server & had our fun there.
We can still get XP, unlocks & have a blast.

It seem SGS went and politely shut down their excess servers, so at the moment they seem to only have 5 running which are all chokka. There are plenty of international servers completely open, but I don't really feel like paying international rates to play BC2, does anyone else?

BIOS upgrade time!!
I know of 3 people who have told me the same thing today and a BIOS upgrade fixed all of them.

Dude.. I upgraded my BIOS to the latest 2 days before sticking the new CPU in.
The problem is Windows - not the bios.

I changed from an E8400 to a Q9550 and OC the poop out of it without blue screens. Maybe its cos my pc is full of awesome and was scared of me :p

Windows creates an SID based on the hardware installed in your computer when you install it. Changing CPU's breaks the hash, hence the bluescreens - I surmise. Maybe the BIOS flash is what completely threw the works?

Nah, it's probably cuz I didn't reset the bios to defaults after changing the CPU initially, so the microcode didn't update (apparently).
Anyway, I may not be playing as my line is dropping every 2 minutes. Yay wet weather.
I guess I should log it at Telkom.

I thought I would just throw a quick reinstall cos it was time, so I start the install and everything goes wrong.
Long story short I had to flash the BIOS to 3 different versions to get it to install. Anyway its installed now and working.

My exchange is poked. Line can sync, but can't authenticate... pppoe discovery fails every time.
Logged a ticket with Telkom, but who knows how long it's going to take them to figure out that it's the exchange at fault and not my equipment.

I battled with Telkom for 3 weeks until they twigged that one of their routers was on the blink. No word of compensation for my client. I told him after testing all his gear that the problem was with Telkom & he should log a ticket and 3 weeks later they finally fessed up that the fault lay with them - it was fixed within 24 hours.
