If you want to properly delete your facebook account.. not the wishy-washy "deactivation" that passes for account deletion normally.

While logged in to your profile (you may have to re-activate), go to this link: http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account

No, it's not.
Like I said, you need to be logged in to your facebook profile BEFORE using it.

If you use it, then login, you'll just be taken to your profile. You'll need to click the link again to get to the page. Also - if you haven't updated your privacy settings, THAT will pop up and annoy you, so you'll have to SAVE the settings there, which will take you to your profile again (sigh), so you'll have to click the link AGAIN. THEN it will work.

I know it works, because I used it last night.

Scuse the ignorance, I'm not an avid Facebook fan, but why would you want to kill your facebook acc?

Anyone who tries to delete their account doesn't actually do so. Facebook just suspends it and keeps all the information. Your photos, personal info, the works.
