Hi guys, I don't lay WoW atm but i recieved a tip from Shamus and an email from blizzard saying my account had been hacked. I've changed all my passwords ect but I'm not sure what they did while they had the account I don't have the WoW client anymore so i can't check. Could someone who knows me and my characters from my wow days log in for me and check quick? And perhaps contact a GM to get everything restored? I know that two of my 80 characters are missing from the armory :(

Hi Eye, no wonder you didn't respond to any of us while "you" were online the last couple of days. I actually thought you might've sold your account. Sorry - I should've been more awake. Sorry I can't sign in at the moment, because I'm at work. If you haven't found somebody by tonight, I will gladly help you. Send me a PM.

Bloody hackers!

And sorry to hear

I'm getting Aion notices about people changing my login details & please to verify them by clicking the link. I don't even have an Aion account. Schmucks.

Phising ... phising ... phising.

Please do not click on links or try to change your passwords if you are not 100% sure it is the official website. Check the certificate, the address, etc.

These guys are getting witty and they copy the whole website from WoW but if you look at the address, it will be

www.blizz4rd.com\wow-adminstration\account-verificatio.html

You click that link, follow the instructions and you get an error message but they have your account details, password and all your gold!

email was from WoWAccountReviewEU@blizzard.com
sent me to the link: https://www.wow-europe.com/account

Quick google confirmed validity. I've gotten those phishing emails before, they're usually not too difficult to spot...

I would actually bookmark the Blizzard login page & always use that as opposed to following any link sent in an email.

no company will ever ask you to confirm details over an email. If anything you will be prompted about something when you log in to your account.

Thanks Enzo, was going to send you that PM, but when I told my sister about it she just downloaded all the patches and sorted it out for me. Not sure whether to be thankful to her or jealous about her uncapped :( :)

Glad you got it sorted Eye. So what did they do your chars? Did they rob them naked?

They just simply deleted all my characters except Palomides, deleted everything in his inventory then used him to mine wintergrasp for what i assume to be a long time (all his gear was at 0 durability, but he had a crap load of titanium.)

They deleted all you chars, thats horrible. Sorry man. Is there any chance that Blizz will restore your chars?

I mean after all it is only a few bytes of data.

Also the weirdest thing happend the other day, I logged in and the DK I deleted was back on my list of chars, I think Blizz really want me to level a DK. :D

Hope it gets all sorted out.
