Russia should tell those fsckers to get stuffed.

I can see it now: "Word War III declared over Internet territorial rights!"

update As Microsoft readies the next version of its Windows operating system, called Vista, the software giant is building in unprecedented levels of safeguards against video piracy.

For the first time, the Windows operating system will wall off some audio and video processes almost completely from users and outside programmers, in hopes of making them harder for hackers to reach. The company is establishing digital security checks that could even shut off a computer's connections to some monitors or televisions if antipiracy procedures that stop high-quality video copying aren't in place.

So long windows! Hello Dapper Drake

As long as my comrades can hold on to the Kremlin the website should remain operational! :boxing:

Yea ...
Vista is the end of the fun life we're living now, where you only buy a game once you know it's worthwhile.
From Vista onwards all we'll have is a pile of useless cd's and no faith in the gaming industry.

I'm thinking how about I start playing opensource games on linux. OK there's no BF2 yet. Fact most games I know about aren't quite production ready. But lots look cool. I've played Vegastrike and Flight gear Flight sim. And who was it that played BZFlag? Oh and there are lots of very good solitaire implimnetations LOL.:D

This AllofMP3 controversy is the biggest bullshit ever. The IFPI claims that AOM is operating illegally, but there is no proof, otherwise they would have shut them down already. Other MP3 portals which were operating without license were killed in the past, so why not AOM? Answer: because they can't get to them. That's why now they make it political.

I love shopping at AOM. They have a great variety and good prices. And most important: no Digital Restrictions Management.

That's the whole reason the Riaa was forced to push the US against the USSR about it. It is legal, but they don't get their pound of flesh, so they want Russia to change the law.

By the looks of things AOMp3's September 1 changes will introduce royalties for artists. I'm all for that.

Doobi, the problem with that is that AOM is trying to enter direct agreements with the labels and publishers, but most of those 'are not interested'. Translation: a piece of the cake is not enough. We want the whole cake.

Greedy bastards :snipe:

Stoopid yanks. I can't wait to bomb some Americans in the AF expansion.... Ooops, did I say that? Do you think this website is monitored? I hope no-one comes to pick me up and fly me from Waterkloof airforce base in a midnight flight to Abu Dhabi for interrogation...
