So I did some catching up on 24 in the last few weeks. Watched Season 1, Season 6, Redemption and Season 7. All fine and well up to Redemption, however, Season 7 annoyed the crap out of me (and the GF). So much stuff that just didn't make sense, that they seemed to pull out of thin air to justify the half million twists and turns. A ruse to hide a ruse to hide a ruse to hide a ruse to hide a ruse... Also the moral compass just wasn't right. I mean, we know that Jack Bauer stops at nothing to do what he feels is right, and if you as a viewer weren't ok with that in Season 1, you will never be afterwards. But now in Season 7 they feel like they have to justify what he did the previous 6 seasons...

Basically, what I am wondering is, I have Season 8 ready to watch. Is it worth it or will I waste my time?

I thought it was worth it. The beginning is shaky but it comes together.

It tied things up very nicely. Apparently this will now be followed by a movie and that will be all for 24. Looking forward to it.

Dude, i still have an ulcer from season 4, it was awesome. 5 was probably the best in my view.
