Secondly... hoping to get back online with ADSL soon so checking the horizon to see if there will be any Agency cadets willing to try the player coop aspect of the game soon? :D

When your DSL is up and running I will consider getting it (hopefully 2nd hand) If not, the splitscreen might just be an option :p

Does the demo have co-op? I played the demo last night and i did see the friends online and things like that in game, made me feel it may have some co-op!

You can't play crackdown on a split screen - best bet is to system link, but that would need another copy.

Demo has Coop.
Crackdown 2 is supposed to support Splitscreen.

Nah, no split screen. It was a humorous reply to Rainy's post. :) Once I get the game and ADSL I shall post some opinions about the game.

Settle down woman, i was talking to the Rus-LAN and the Ger-Man (I'm going to make you guys some capes, one red and gold, one black and gold, and you can go out, fighting crime by using xbox controllers as baterangs!) - For a moment i was excited that i knew something that they didn't - wanted to play Crackdown Split Screen with Brent (age 9) this weekend, and discovered we couldn't. We were bummed for a moment, but then we switched to CoD and i pooned him.
Playing split screen, sitting next to your opponent certainly makes it easier to cheat, for example, you can tickle him (Any age over 10 and this will just not be acceptable) or you can grap the remote from him, or distract him with an action figure...
Ok, these tactics are only suitable for 9 year olds - but they have the reflexes of a mongoose on cocaine and ritalin, the only way we can beat these youngens is by using our old fart brains to strategise - that's when C4 and claymores come in handy.

Well, had an hour or so with the game last night and its all like the original Crackdown in terms of gameplay, combat, driving and orb hunting. Little updates here and there are noticable which enhance gameplay although I guess if you invest more hours into the game and you level up your character they become more evident. Coop is basically drop in drop out anytime, there are LIVE Orbs which are only obtainable whilst with at least one friend in the game. There is also a PvP online component which I didnt try since I am on 3G for now. Will give more feedback as I spend more time orb hunting and freak splatting. :p

I have read and heard a few opinions, and it seems that this is a game that can only win in Coop. SP seems to be not nearly as appealing.

no split screen and no system link
return of my orb hunting nightmares tho.
there are also xbox live orbs and missions.
in a nutshell the only coop you will be playing is over xbox live. lets hope its better netcode than crackdown 1. i will get myself some gold if anyone else is playing. otherwise till then just gonna play solo

The netcode aint bad, did 2 hours coop online over a 3G connection and although I got dropped twice it was smooth sailing. So I am just busy leveling up my dude in the SP aspect of the game as when you join up a session as a guest your own campaign DOES NOT progress with your host. All the orbs, experience and kills stay with your character though. :)
