I'm posting this here so that non-clan members can see it too! :)
This thread is NOT guild wars specific, it's just that this forum is a convenient place for it. ;)

----

Every single page has a 'discussion' or 'Talk' page. There's a tab marked 'discussion' next to the edit tab etc. In reality, the page will be called Talk:Page_Name for the most part. The talk page is usually used by content editors to discuss the happenings on the page.

You can see if the talk page has any text on it by looking at the colour of the 'discussion' tab text. If it's red, it's empty, if it's blue, as a content editor, you should probably go see what's up. Casual readers can ignore the discussion pages.

If you're on a discussion page, you'll see a little '+' tab next to the edit button. Clicking that will allow you to add a new section into the discussion, with subject etc. If you leave the subject blank, the text you type will get added to the bottom of the newest (bottom) section. If you want to add something to an existing subject, just click the [edit] link to the right of the subject header. That will open up content for just that section only.

AN IMPORTANT THING: When you've finished typing a comment, PLEASE sign it using ~~~~. The 4 tildes will translate to your "signature" with a timestamp. If you don't sign your message, it will be VERY difficult to figure out who said what, especially if there's a lot of content on the talk page. (Do you think the RED is overdoing it? :))

Please keep an eye on Talk:Main_Page - we're using this for info regarding the wiki as a whole. I sometimes post notes there, or on the Current_events page (Second item, top menu on the left). You will usually find tips and things that I've discovered there.

Feel free to ask questions etc.
