Thats kinda a wierd anti-conformist attitude. I love anti-conformity, but not when the reason is so limited. Now a guy wearing pink, cause pink is the in color is RETARDED. Pink is a crap color. End of story, and if ure wearing it cause its "in" then thats just _lame_.

But if ure creating a blog cause everyone else is, and seems to be very popular and fun... well the same way I finally got a MSN address (cause everyone else had one), Im getting a blog.

Agreed on the pink issue. But I have always been a kind of a non-conformist, and have rarely ever done what is 'in'. As Alluvium, I do what I like, end of story. I probably wouldn't even runa blog if it wasn't the 'in' thing to do, because I simply don't have the time, energy and nerve for it. I'd rather play BF2 ;)

TGTest: See, that is the misconception. As far as this clan is concerned, being a War Geek is 'in'. But most of the rest of the BF2 world would rather prefer to be stat whores like FIB ;) So we are the nonconformists :D

wizard: see, that's another thing I don't have time for. I stick to Linux in terms of server and test environments, but I am admittedly too much of a Windows whore to change my complete work environment to Linux. Tried twice in the past and eventually stopped, because it didn't satisfy my. So I'm not even going to start trying to run my fav games on Linux, nevermind the gamepad or joystick...

Rainy so for interest sake - sorry it's offtopic bit it came up - what's your work environment?

Wall: my work environment is a laptop and a PC. The PC is my gaming machine, but also serves for test purposes. Both machines run XP, but I have VMWare on the testing machine with several different OS's for testing purposes. My web server in Germany is a Debian 3.1 machine. Main part of my software environment is an IDE for PHP and an Apache/PHP-MySQL-package called xampp, which runs both on my laptop and on my webserver. One of the Linux machines in VMWare will also run it soon, for comparison purposes. I aim to create a duplicate of my webserver, so I can try out updates and upgrades safely before applying them to a production machine.

Webserver is in Germany because it is cheaper there than getting a dedicated server here. I have a fully controlled Linux box with a Sempron 3000+, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD and a 500GB cap for about R300/month. How do I make money? I develop software and websites and host them on my server (among other things :D)
