I would like to check. Does the % longer enchantment mod on a sword still apply, even if I do not have any swordmanship attribute points?

Yes it apply's

Hence the price tag to a +20% mod

Thanks. I have been using a +13% enchant sword, which I picked up myself, for my IW Mesmer, but despite looking out for a better one, I could not find any. It is funny how if one looks for something specific, it never drops.

I then bought a +19% enchant sword from Slappy last night. So I thought I had better check. I have been making too many assumptions lately. :D

Correct me on this , but I get the feeling the game drops items for the class that you are not. Its alsmost as if it is done to encourage trade. Thus a fighter will pick up, for the most part, very good items for monks, eles, necros, etc but not a lot of in the way of swords and such. I say this out of personal experience. My warriors also do not find great warrior items. My monk of the other hand has picked up two gold item swords.

... of course a little run down to the Xolani agent solves that... banked it for the warriors...

Btw which colour is the best item... I take it from all the fuss that it is green. Does anyone know the order from there? Or should I just read my manual?

/me goes to check manual

Darnit:
Colors:
White := Common
Light Blue := Magical
Purple := Uncommon
Gold := Rare
Green := Unique*

*The green items are all perfect weapons/Items
Except in Factions where non perfect greens do drop
However, The stats of greens are fixed so there is no chance of getting a diff stats green
i.e. If a green drops with +30 health all greens of that type will have +30 health.

Hope that helped
Pios

gkm edit: added light blue

Darnit, you may have a point - although I have found so many bows as a Ranger I usually leave them lying there. As an assassin, I haven't found too much although I have some Gold items.

Most of the stuff I have found seems to be junk - of no value other than a few glod or for recycling.

The drops are random, but related to the class you kill I think.

Thats interesting. I though everything is random. Will have to pay closer attention to that.
