What amazes me is how many people have fallen for this scam.
When I was in Durbs, 90% of the people I saw had the damn things on.

Meh, im going to say the same thing I said on the myadsl forums.
It is a placebo effect, anyone with a brain knows this. I am happy with placebo effects so I wear one. Its not the expensive "real deal" but rather a fake R60 one.
It does work in a similar term to the way the describe it and that would be because my brain tells me it works.
I tried everything to disprove the things and tell people how stupid they were but after failing at that I now have one. Im a little less clumsy and I dont walk into doorframes as often :p (its cos im wide mmmkay?)

So long and the short is that it works if you want it to. Me, I want it to work and so it does.

So to get your money back, you have to pack postage there and back??? Still have your proof of purchase - after you've been wearing it for months - who is really going to keep theirs??? They apologise, but make it so difficult to get your money back. Ridiculous really.

They should have rather said: "We lied, BUT you fell for it - sorry for you :ras:"

If the original is a phoney, and you have a fake of a phoney - and a negative times a negative equals a positive, perhaps only the fake ones are the real ones??

How on earth did mankind manage to walk upright and keep their balance without these little plastic wonders? Were we all walking lopsided and randomly falling down every so often? Nay. But could these guys dupe a whole bunch of people into paying bundles of cash for a gimicky bracelet to fix something that wasn't wrong to begin with? You betcha!

Indeed, there seems to be room for improvement in the brains of some, though it has nothing to do with balance...

At least I didn't fall for this one...
Scam detector - check :D.

They must have made billion from this, Rizzy says every kid at the school he teaches at has one. R200+ for a piece of plastic, but I guess that was just part of the scam right.

Interesting - thanks for posting this TG. I thought it was more of a fashion accessory than anything else. Glad I didn't waste my money (not on this at least :p)

I have always been pretty good with balance from years of surfing, skating, etc etc etc.
If you just go by the stretch tests etc then it makes a difference. Have any of you actually tried one and tried the tests? it *is* a placebo but it would surprise you.

Well, see, they wouldn't have to refund anyone if they said it was a placebo, as there is a scientific basis for a placebo to work.

I recently read about a study that proved that placebo's work even when people are told it's a placebo beforehand. I'll have to go look for it.

...Me, I want it to work and so it does.

So, if I buy that stuff they're always advertising that is guaranteed to add 3 inches to your willy, and I WANT it to work, it will? :gyes:

Not in your case. Can't add 3 inches to something that doesn't exist.
