Well, I have to thank SSS for his rather curt advice on RAID 0. What do you have to lose if your data is on another drive/drives and you have a backup? A bit of time? You'll more than make up for that loss with the responsiveness of your system.

I have been separating OS and data for ages. But thanks to the way Windows does it's thing, there are *always* data on the system drive that are a bit of a hassle to lose. As the joke goes, the 0 in RAID0 stands for the amount of files you get back in case of a disk failure...
