    Default Real Steel

Hugh Jackman, playing the douchiest character he ever played, in a nonetheless good little tale about father-son bonding and doing the right thing.

In a near future, robot fighting is an in sport, and Jackman's character is a robot fighter - but perpetually down on his luck. Until one day his son pulls a discarded robot off the scrap heap and decides to make it work again...

Very decent movie, extremely watchable. Not that anything in it is much of a surprise, but the actors are well cast and the story is nonetheless interesting. Of course, I have a thing for Evangeline Lilly... But this is a recommended watch.
It is not the responsibility of a defender to leave the objective unguarded just so his opponent sucks less.

I didn't enjoy this at all. It was very disney'ish in terms of giving the robots human emotions and the final fight was laughable.

I dunno hey, it just didn't do it for me one bit. Very cheesy.

I liked it as well, made me think Karate Kid with robots. Pretty feel good movie.

I liked the theme - didn't like Hugh Jackman in this role. I think he was cast very badly in this role. Enjoyable movie, though, if you can get past the fact that Jackman isn't supposed to play parts like he did in this one.

Stupid BF3 Sig is wrong coz I obviously travel a couple of weeks ahead of electrons.

I thought this movie would be good for fathers with young sons. I don't have a kid, and thus thought it was almost ok.
They were really reaching at points, and certain interactions just felt forced, like "it's movie-convention to do this, so let's do this".
Just average, if you're looking for a PG action movie, i feel you have much better options than this one. Like the karate kid - still aimed at younger audiences, but decidedly better. At least IMO, but remember, I don't have a kid.
