Due to the architecture these patches are needed for windows 7 to accommodate the chips properly.
Patch 1: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2646060 (disable core parking)
As the name states, windows will not try and de-activate an unused core.
Patch 2: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2645594 (Cpu Scheduling techniques)
This modifies the scheduling technique to better suit the architecture.
Windows 8 already has these improvements & more.
