I got myself a copy of the game, and am currently playing it at LAN`s and in single player mode just getting a hang of the game and how it plays.

I will admit its not what I expected. I have played with some pretty advanced mods and I feel that this could have at the most, been classed as an expansion or something.

I can now see why it had such a reduced price tag. Not more R&D had to go into this as what happened when Bf2 came out.

While 2142 is a welcome change, and I will be playing it a lot online.. I still feel Bf2 is the better of the two to play.

Of course I have not experience multiplayer online mode so I know I am missing out on 90% of the experience.

Anyways, I do believe that it is utter CRAP offline... and this is from someone who played it for 2 days with bots

It is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better online - the ranking/award/unlocks is realyl what the games all about to me...
