My main soldier (EY3W17N355)won't work, I can log in, but whenever I join a server it gets to the spawn screen then the mouse and keyboard stop responding, I try with another soldier (shortlittleman) and it works again
It's only EY3W17N355 that I really use, shortlittleman was just to test out the cloaking device, anyone have any ideas of how to get it working?
Sorry bud. That sounds really weird. I wouldn't know what to do to help even if I COULD stop laughing.
I must apologize, but this is by far the funniest problem I have heard of for a while.

Go to your my documents\battlefield 2142\profiles folder. You will have profile folders 0001 for your first soldier, 0002, etc. Copy all the files EXCEPT for profile.con from your working soldier to your non-working soldier, then start your game up. That should sort out your issues.
If you're not sure which soldier is which, check the file profile.con - it will have your soldier's nick in there.

EA finally doing something RIGHT?!! Compressing the files without anybody even asking for it! :gasp:
By the way, has anybody noticed that BF2 was about 2.6 gigs and 2142 is 1.6? Odd..
