What started as a MOD for UT has sprung up into the winner of the UT MOD contest. Bringing us the Eastern Front scenario across various maps you get to choose being either German or Russian and being able to select from various classes of soldiers and a nice array of vehicles.

This "unrelated to UT" version of the game works as a standalone available from STEAM.

Dont know if it will become popular among SA servers but its quite hot in the EU and US.

A news update is out about this STEAM product here.

"Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, the WWII online action game from Tripwire Interactive, will be available via Steam on March 14, 2006 at 11 am PST."

Dont know of anybody who plays this in SA so maybe it wont pickup too much popularity.
