Some more info:

OK now that I've had some time to try the Oil-Tower AA site bug here's what I think is going on:
- It appears that it only works when the AA gun you're using is elevated some above the base of the oil tower. The only map I know of where this can happen is Wetlands. The Factory AA works as does the AA at the center flag. If the Stinger missile is fired from too low with respect to the fire, it will veer away like it has always done.
- The missiles don't last forever circling the fire, but they last long enough that you can get four missiles in the air simultaneously. It's awesome when some jetboi comes in thinking you can't see him then suddenly 3 missiles hit him at once
- I haven't had enough time to see if this works with mobile AA or if air-to-air missiles will also circle the fire.
- The missiles will go after ANY aircraft, even friendlies. This won't really help your score or team unless the other team is doing much more flying.

Hey i tried this on the BLG map last night but all i ended up doing was blow up our own chopper and get -4 but it did look cool with 4 rockets flying around the flame

I did this (sort of) last night as well... from the Factory AA - I aimed at central island, fired two rockets at the flame nearby, watched the rockets hit it, go through and veer immediately off to the central island to nail the chopper.

Quite fun!

Something else i found last night on sharqi. I had a quick lightbulb out of pure frustration of being spawn raped by mercs at he beach house time and time again. They continuously come to the beach house with their chopper to steal our one since some noob kept on craching ours.

So i fire two stingers at the chopper as it approached, it jolted out flares only one missle hit. The chopepr immediately turned around for repairs. So what happens, i loose the lock, damm. And i didnt think that the chopper is going to allow me a second chance at that when he comes back. So chopper is gone me all alone at beach house. So i thaught F*&^% it, fire one more salvo just for the hell of it.
And what do you know, bamm i blowed chopper right out the air.
Rest of round was me camping at beach hou fireing stingers at rondom in the direction of the TV station. Hit them three times. They relized my move came in witha humvee and killed me and stole our chopper. Hha ha ha ha , i respawn and run back to anti air and start fiering away, after third try aiming at hotel, bammmmmm, WAJKILLER2 (MI-28) Merc mckelvin, WAJKILLER2 (MI-28) BFC MAC, wha hha hha hhhhhaaaaaaaa. What a rave.

Seems that the rockets just find their own target anyway no matter what.
