Which is the best (yep, I know it's subjective) 3rd party map for BF2? A link would be cool too.

I would assume so - what else is the 700MB shading thingy for on the EA website? And BBvok was on about a custom map tourney.

Dang .. SGS filevault is down ... there was a cool 3rd partie BF2 mod there ... will post it here when it re-appears one day.

Hi All.

I have the 3 Total BF2 Map packs that are currently out. Pack1 = 127Mb, Pack2 = 179Mb & Pack3 = 230Mb. Obviously they can be downloaded from the TotalBF2 site, or Filecloud or similar.

I have not had a chance to actually load and play these maps yet. I'm hoping to do that this weekend.

Contents are:
Pack1 - Wake Island, King of the Hill, Mekong River, Attack at Taiming, Uluwatu City, Smyrna
Pack2 - Strike at Karkand 2, Strike at Abu Dhabi, Berlin, Straight of Hormuz, Mahoni Island, Nan Hai
Pack3 - Insurgency on Alcatraz, Codename Valhalla, Operation Power Failure, Operation Yellow Dragon, Bocage 2005, A.T.O.M

Would it help if I made it available on local bandwidth for anyone?

I've tested pack 1 - it sucks.

I've got pack 2 and 3 - haven't played them yet.

I've played Insurgency on Alcatraz at BLG - it's very nicely done - just a heck of a lot of walking.
