Okay: about 5 days ago, I tried to run bf2. Fine, no problem. Logon to internet server, ok.
Try join a server, and the game immediately exits. Oookay?
Try fixing a couple of things, nothing works. Right, thats fine... Try repair (from the add/remove programs menu), which requires the disc. So I insert the disk, and it doesn't come up with 'play bf2' or anything, just install.
anyway, so i proceed to the add/remove programs menu and see if there's an option to 'repair'. There isnt, just remove.
Okay, so I decide to remove it. I click remove, it runs the installation help thingy like its meant to. Fine. At the end of the bar, a strange block flashes (I think its turquoise) for a millisecond and the whole thing exits. Same thing happens when I try and install from the CD. I apologise, but it's hard to get screenshots of the flashing blocks, as they only appear for a VERY short time.
I don't understand what's wrong? Have I borked something up, is a firewall being very mean or does the world just hate me!?
