    Default The Black Book

Interesting movie based on true events. It has subtitles and most of the dialogue is in Dutch and German.

Basically set in Holland in 1944/45. Involves Jewish girl trying to escape Nazis, the Dutch resistance, and the Gestapo. Not exactly a war movie, more of a whodunnit.

Downside are the incredible escapes the girl has - but then you know she survives as the movie opens in 1956. The one firefight scene seems a bit over the top - lots of shots for very few hits and in a confined space. But then the fun part is how everyone turns on everyone else.

And the oddest thing of all is that the character you sympathise with most is the SS captain.

If you're going through hell, keep moving.
