Default How to use the new chatbox

First of all, you can change the default colours, etc for the chatbox, or even disable it. Open your UserCP, and check Options.

You have the ability to delete or edit your own posts. Clicky the lil 'x' icon next to your post to delete, or double click the post to edit it. (Council can edit/delete anybody's posts).

Click the yellow ? icon for additional help.

You can '/ignore' people who annoy you.

You can send private shouts to people. Click the little pencil icon next to one of their shouts for ease of use, otherwise manually type the command.

To the top left of the chatbox, are three icons.
The top one puts you in the general channel. This is the normal channel where all the chatting happens. You can click the middle icon to view the private chats you have. NOTE WELL: If you just 'reply' like you normally would to the chatbox, it goes to the GENERAL channel where everyone can see it! You MUST use the /pm user "username" blah blah format to send it privately.

Click the bottom icon to see who's online in the chatbox. Normal forum users can't use that particular function.

Umm... the bottom right icon has a french tooltip. Oops. Guess the programmer missed it. Anyway, it means it will open up a new page/tab with a "full screen" chatbox.

It feels very "busy", but maybe I shall get used to it. It is certainly very fancy.

@Blinky - they didn't ignore me. They fixed it. The prototype vanilla installation had a puny box to write in. They made that bigger.

Of course they now have to fix the fonts of the names and it'll be styling.

Not sure how effective the PM thing will be. If I want to say something in private I promise that it won't be on part of a site that quite a few people have access to.
