Default Game rules and sending resources

I have found about 6 inactive players within 2 hours' attack distance from me that, when I want to send troops there, gives the comment: "Player banned due to transgressing the rules". (Or something like that)

Now, in order not to suffer a similar fate, I need something cleared up.

I know that you are not allowed to send someone, in a 24 hour period, more resources than what you produce of that type in 1 hour, (including market transactions). But does this apply collectively or only in the singular.

For example, let's say I produce 100L per hour.

    Can I send 5 players 20L each, and that's my quota for 24 hours.(i.e.Collectively)

    or

Can I send 100L to each of any number of different players, as long as I don't exceed the 100L limit for any one of them in a 24 hour period. (i.e.Singular)

    This paragraph in the rules:
"The aforementioned amount of resources must be split in cases of multiple regular lopsided transfers with specific players. The size of the affected accounts does not matter."
mean that I prefer not to send more than an hour's production per day in total to other players combined, since I do not want that message to happen for my village.

Note, if i produced say 100|100|100|100, I am willing to send 400 of one resource, which looks OK to me based on the rules.

Also, for borrowing resources, I think sending the same amount back a couple of days later is OK, since then the transfer is not lopsided in my opinion. I hope I am right. At least I did not get into any trouble when I made the repayments, which was a lot more than my hourly production. Maybe that was also because the transfers were not regular.

My message about this that I sent right at the start of the game was not answered by them.

    # §3 Resource transfers
Every account has to be played to its own benefit and may not be used only to support another account. Being blackmailed into sending resources exceeding the hourly production as described below is not considered a benefit to the account.

    * §3.1 General
In any 24 hour period, regular lopsided transfers with a specific other player may only equal one hour of resource production, including marketplace transactions. One hour of resource production is the gross sum of all resource productions of all villages without subtracting the upkeep for troops.

The aforementioned amount of resources must be split in cases of multiple regular lopsided transfers with specific players. The size of the affected accounts does not matter.

If your troops are reinforcing another player’s village, you are allowed to send enough crops to that player to feed your troops. Normally, a sufficient and allowable amount of crops is enough to keep the troops alive for another 24 hours.
    * §3.2 Sitting & same pc usage
You may not make lopsided transfers of resources to another player entered as ‘same pc usage’.
Accounts that are connected by the sitter function may not make lopsided transfers, either. It does not matter whether an account is sitter or sitted.

Resources may only be traded at a ratio of 1:1 and the resource transfer has to be finished within 48 hours. An exception to this rule is the sending of crops to feed troops that are reinforcing another village which get attacked. You may transfer enough crops to feed your troops that are reinforcing another village. These transfers should be considered rare exceptions and must stop after 3 days from the first delivery of crops.

In the event of a one-sided transfer, you should wait 48 hours after the last lopsided transfer has been successfully delivered before connecting with each other using the sitter function or ‘same pc usage’.
Additionally, you must wait 48 hours before making a lopsided transfers after canceling sitter status or ‘same pc usage’.
    * §3.3 Wonders of the World
The only exception to the afore mentioned rules applies to builders of wonders of the world who actually participate in the race to the level 100 wonder of the world. Neither the builders nor the suppliers are bound by the transfer limits.

    .............

So, under general, you may transfer as much as you like to whomever you like once, and you may regularly transfer enough food to feed your troops for 24 hours regularly.

i.e. You may NOT transfer in 24 hour gaps regularly to any single player more than once, unless the amount transferred does not exceed one hour of resource production.

"One hour of resource production is the gross sum of all resource productions of all villages without subtracting the upkeep for troops."

    In your example:
    Your total production is 100L (25 + 25 + 25 + 25).
You may not transfer 100 of anything more than once to the same player in a 24 hour set. But, once 24 hours is over, you may transfer again.

If that bloke has your troops, you may send food every 24 hours according to the exact consumption of your troops in that village, but this has nothing to do with anything, and it is NOT in addition to the above 100L limit.

Be careful - transfers include the bloke buying from your marketplace.

OK, the word "regular" seems to be the key here. I can send more than my hourly production, as long as it doesnt happen regularly. (What defines "regular" is of course another question...once/week, once/fortnight, once/month?)

Gus, not sure that I agree with you about the 100|100|100|100 allowing you to regularly send 400 of one resource. If you look at the rule (Tks, Stoke)...

"In any 24 hour period, regular lopsided transfers with a specific other player may only equal one hour of resource production, including marketplace transactions. One hour of resource production is the gross sum of all resource productions of all villages without subtracting the upkeep for troops."

...every instance of the word "resource" is in the singular, not plural. And the word "productions refers to multiple villages, not multiple resources. So, per your example, I would not regularly send more than 100 of a resource type.

(Anyway, rather safe than sorry. Think I read somewhere bans are enforced without recourse to explanation or debate.)

Wow, I see what you mean. English is such a fickle language.
"One hour of resource production is the gross sum of all resource productions" still seems to group by resource type.

I read "may only equal one hour of resource production, including marketplace transactions" as total production for the villages, since the marketplace may shift production from what is actually produced in the village.

Probably best to keep within all the limits if doing regular one-sided transfers.

I think a big transfer should not happen more than once a week and then should not be more that 7 hours production.

I Think this is rather Shoddy rules....... Why make such a rule and not enforce a warning System in place ! or a limit in the system which get switched of when the wonder race starts

reading that paragraph i found to be the biggest way of time

it's really bad english communication, and i'm glad to see the engelse mense also got stuck on it.

i think in a nutshell tho what they trying to say is u can send tons of resources (unlimited) in one transaction to any person as long as it is not regular. However if its regular then the total can only be ur sum total hourly production per 24hrs.

My question was answered by admin today:

    Question to Admin:
"One hour of resource production is the gross sum of all resource productions"

Does this mean : If my production is 25 + 25 + 25 + 25 on all owned villages = 100 sum, therefore we may transfer 100 of any resource in a 24 hour period to a single player, or does it mean we may only transfer 25 of a particular resource to a single player in the 24 hour period ?

    Answer from Admin:
100 of a single resource or a sum of a number of resources matching that amount.

    My interpretation of the answer:
    i.e. not specific resource grouped.

Cool, Stoke. Tks for clearing that up.

Now maybe ask him to change the rule wording to actually say that.
