Default BF2 : Euro Force Released!

    read it here.

Yip, one day ahead of schedule :

The battle expands in this first booster pack to 2005's hit game Battlefield 2. Take the powerful new Euro Force into action as you battle for control of all-new Asian locations.

    • The all-new Euro Force Army, with a full arsenal of the latest technology.
    • 3 new maps, from battles in the Taraba Quarry and Operation Smoke Screen to close-quarters mayhem around the Great Wall of China.
    • 4 new vehicles including the Leopard battle tank, Eurofighter Typhoon, and Tiger attack chopper.
    • 7 new weapons including FAMAS and P90 rifles.

You can buy the expansion for $9.99 from this link.

So who's getting this pack? I would rather wait for a full blown Golden Edition of BF2 which should include all the packs in the near future, expect EA to do that just to get more bucks.

I'll get it if/when SGS servers get/support it...

Unless I can still use the goodies in Vanilla, then I'll get it right away...

I am waiting to get this. Firstly I am not keen on blowing another 400 megs through my cap right now (which GW will chew anyway), secondly I want to be sure how things work with EF, ahd that it is actually played. The R200 on SF was a bit of a waste...
It is not the responsibility of a defender to leave the objective unguarded just so his opponent sucks less.

Digitalplanet sells EuroForce for R99. I think it's the 'boxed' version which only contains a download code, so you still have to download. Anyhow, with the Outsurance promo going on at Digitalplanet, you can try and get it for 'free' - unless you're an Outsurance client of course...

Hmmm - would like to get it - will wait and see what will happen on the SGS servers first though ... and wait for some feedback from other guys that have downloaded it to see if it will be worthwhile ..

Edit: The outsurance quote route might be good though - I in any case want to get some insurance quotes again, as my insurance has been slowly creeping up over the last few years ...

But if you buy it direct from EA it is R63. And you have to download it.

    Gosh! What a bargain.

Yup - according to Digital Planet :

    Product Information

Please Note: Once payment has been received, Digital Planet will email you your download code and website URL where you can download the booster pack
Why would anyone rather spend R100 on something that you can get for R63 ????? I ask you !!

Well I'd think about it only because I could use some eBucks.

I'd just like some clarity on what I get. Do I get a download executable that I can run as many times as I want - I have 3 Battlefield 2 accounts, 3 Special Forces accounts (Kids and a brother) but I need a key per each. Or do I get the ability to update my machine in realtime - in which case I am looking at 1.2GB worth of download.

    Please - any answers.
