The Mist

Based on Stephen King's novella of the same name, found in the book Skeleton Crew.

I watched the movie last night. Not too horrible. It deviates slightly from the book in terms of story, however the characters are mostly all there. They've introduced an additional two characters, mainly to give the story a bit more meat. Essentially they gave a slight nudge towards what caused the mist, and they provide an ending for the movie - unlike the story, which is left pretty much open ended. I can understand why they gave it and ending, though. You'd probably find that movie-goers would be left feeling disappointed if the movie kept the story's original ending, so I guess they created it to bring it to some sort of conclusion. I wasn't all that thrilled - but then I am very biased. I loved the novella.
