    Default Beowulf

I watched it last night. I quite enjoyed it, it definately stays true to how the heroes were portrayed in ye olde times. And seems to follow the original poem quite closely.

I didn't realise before I had watched it that it was a cg movie, I'm actually a little disappointed there. The cg seems a little lacklustre, but overall a good movie.

    What you ppl think?

Yea, it woz enjoyable, a little slow at times. The GCI lacked depth 90% of the time, except when the monster / mother of monster was in the scene, suddenly the depth was there and it seem'd real and alive and vibrant.

The dialog was mediocre to say the least, and the portrayal of the king's companion is lackluster, it really could have been spiced up.

    But, enjoyable nonetheless.

I thought Beowulf was chuck norris's great great great great great great great grandfather, attacking a monster with his naked ass and teabagging him while pounding his ear drum with a stick!

Otherwise it was ok. Man you gotta love the danish vikings

I sort of take issue with CG (dramas? well - not comedy), as whilst they are able to do things real life actors would not be able to do (battling a monster in the middle of the ocean whilst nude, for instance), I don't feel that CGI is at a place where it can adequately portray the depth of human emotion, thus I felt all through Beowolf as if I were watching an in-game cinematic, rather than a movie.

I cannot bring myself to watch it. Although i am a huge Ray Winstone Fan, the mere sight of Angelina Jolie would lead to a visceral reaction. I'm just not a fan, that's all. But I think that in game cinematic is an accurate description.

Think bout that Neo/Agent Smith fight in the second matrix, soooo many people were bummed and disgusted with the CGI, i think we like watching real live flesh and blood people do it, because that would make the extremes they achieve THAT much cooler. Watching Neo's rubber-like form is like watching the coyote fall down that damned cliff for the umpteenth time.

The only reason for that is that the animators got a chance to animate a nude Angelina Jolie.

I 1st watched Beowulf and Grendell followed by Beowulf. I must say that the story line in Beowulf makes much more sense after watching B&G.

    Meep. Meep.

The whole Beowulf thing shows that Anthony Hopkins can't act worth a damn. The CGI version was just as wooden as the real life version. Hell, it was as bad as watching that gheifest Alexander again.
