    Default Jericho

This was surprisingly good. Some people recommended it, so I got hold of it and watched it with increasing interest.

Baseline: A small town in Kansas survives a major attack which eradicates 23 American cities with nuclear bombs. As the people pick themselves up again, try to cope with the new world order, aggressive neighbours and dangers from within, it gets more and more obvious that not everything is as it seems...

What I really liked about this one was that with the story twisting all the time, you are constantly guessing what is going to happen next, who is good or bad, and how it will all play out. Unfortunately the series was canned after the first season, and only massive viewer mail managed to convince CBS to order another seven episodes which wrap up the story in a reasonably satisfactory way. Despite the fact that virtually all the actors are pretty unknown, the acting is above average and at times even top notch.

Nice series to watch, with a good storyline and only very little Americanism in it.

I enjoyed each episode from the start - as it started dealing with daily problems facing things we take for granted - to the more serious matter of protecting your town against outsiders who have nothing left.

The actors were really convincing and the storyline was very appealing - especially if you're tired of the oh-so-wonderful america. - The series was also stopped due to the fact that they weren't comfortable with a story about US cities being nuked.... kudos to the writers

Side note: Although most actors are unknown, the main actor played in Scream1, his 'brother' was in an episode of The Unit and the school teacher was Bo's wife in 'over there' ... that's just some of the ones i picked up on, I'm sure imdb will have a lot more.... oh and the old mayor of the town, the main actor's father ... If you'll look closely you'll remember him as the chap who used to play in that old sitcom "Major Dad".

I watched the first 6 or 7 episodes, and i would have to agree that it's a kickass premise (since it looks like the shows creators definitely played fallout a few years back) and the acting is on par, however, it was extremely slow moving and it couldn't hold me long enough to finish the first series.

If i had to go to bed an hour later because i had to watch a gripping series, i'd rather watch life or Grey's.

Lol, Blinky, what are you smoking?

I stayed up until midnight last night to finish season 2 because it was so gripping and I just wanted to know how they wrapped it up

    I agree with Rainy here.

i also agree with Blinky on the 'life' topic.... but mostly because Charlie played Major Richard winters in band of brothers

Unfortunately I cannot stand another medical or courtroom drama. It really does grind my bawlz. Even House is said to be excellent - and Hugh Laurie is brilliant - especially as George in the black adder series, but I still refuse to watch it - based on the principal of the matter.

Bwahaha, shame Voicy you're missing out on House just because of a little ballz grinding?! House is awesome, even the medical stuff in House is pretty interesting, cause he only deals with extra-ordinary cases

When does it start to get interesting.

Look, i almost deleted how i met your mother because the pilot was stupid, but now it's one of my favourite series, cause i stuck to it and by episode 3/4 it was AWESOME (Or LEGENDARY)

But honestly, 6 or 7 episodes into jericho, it was just ok. Not superhuman, not nailbitingly gripping, just ok. So when does it start to heat up?
