    Default Think Bike!!!

I was wondering how many bikers we have in the clan. I myself ride quite regularly (on a R1 lately).

Just yesterday I was nearly wiped out by an old Auntie - not because she wanted to (I hope!!) but because she is not aware of what is going on around her.

Please read www.thinkbike.co.za and become aware, you might just save someone's life!

Remember in real life we don't respawn in 10 seconds...

I used to ride when I was a teenager. I miss it - would love to get a bike again.

    EDIT: Nice link that.

maybe add another option that I dont move for rude bikers who zig zag on the roads?

coz of late i have seen too much of that on JHB's highways... a few bad apples give a bad name to the whole tree.

I never got the bike license. It's a bit of a bitch to get in Germany, not to mention the cost... But I never craved it either. I am more comfy in a car

    From the website:

    "LANE SPLITTING IS LEGAL
Have you ever seen motorcycles riding between the cars on a highway, feeding through traffic jams? As long as this is done responsibly, it is COMPLETELY LEGAL, and even encouraged by traffic authorities. Motorcycles can filter through stationary traffic, and thus do not add to congestion on our roads. Blocking the path of a filtering motorcycle is ILLEGAL, and very dangerous.

Of course, this is not to say that it is legal or even wise for a motorcycle to move through stationary traffic at high speed

The same holds at traffic lights. A courteous driver will never try to deliberately block a motorcyclist’s path. Please let us through, we'll be gone before you know it."
