    Default Server Performance Feedback

    Hey Guys,

since this is the first time for me to be able to get some feedback from a broader group, I'd like to ask you to tell me how you experience the performance of my server, which is currently hosting the WrG site. Tell me your experience about response time, loading times, lags, outages etc. Your feedback is much appreciated

Hmmm - I'll take a chance : Replying to the question "How fast is my server?" is a bit like when your wife asks "honey, do I look fat in this?"

For me, a bit slower than previously - still getting a few timeouts ...

Hey, I am not your wife. I experienced the same thing just about an hour ago. Until then and now again it works fine for me though.

When I do my catchup thing in FireFox I get the unread posts then middle-click on all of them so that they open in new tabs.

On your site every second tab gets a connection reset.
On TG's site every second tab gets a connection reset.

Otherwise ... I find it much faster than TG's site.
i.e. For me it's the same only better.

I also thought it was slightly faster, until the hickup this evening.

I am not entirely sure, but I think that is because Apache can only handle so many requests at the same time, since the number of child processes it is allowed to spawn is limited...

Don't take it for gospel though... But I thunk there is a reason bigger sites run mirrors and load balancers...
