Default Colin Forbes - The Savage Gorge

I got this book with 2 others as part of a bundle from "The Crazy Store."

When the book was completed the author was 83. He died shortly after completion.

There were some glaring discrepancies that put me off the book completely. I finished reading it in the hopes that there was something deeper. Your first impression that he isn't quite carrying a full lunchbox is the fact that he transposes two of the character's personalities. By then, you're half way into the book. Then there's the assumption that an act of war will take place in a given place. It's a blatant assumption, with no logic to back it.

Do yourself a favour, don't read this book. You'll be disappointed. I was going to email his publishers and ask them how they could sell me this drivel, when I discovered the fact that he had died shortly after completing this novel. I did feel bad. The guy was 83 after all.

I have another one of his books sitting on my right front tweeter, written in 1992, when he was still young - only 66. Maybe he has something, I don't know. I'll let you know.

Sounds like a bit of a wasted read! I didn't know "The Crazy Store" sold books

You didn't mention the author's name. Do you want to?

Colin Forbes. I just started his other book - mainly because it's the only book I have left in my entire place that I haven't read. It seems he is an acclaimed international author - we'll see...
