I dirrent know whether to put this in here or in the WTF! thread.
Introducing Die Antwoord
Enter The Ninja (dirty version)
I dont know what to make of this. Joke? Real? Art?
These people are just so unbelievably common. It really makes me feel embarrassed to say that I'm Afrikaans.
Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would all fall off
Of course it's a parody. It's Waddy Jones, he used to rap first as Max Normal and then started the Max Normal.TV crew. Very talented guy. That chick performed with him in his Max Normal.TV days as well.
"I've been trying to change the world for years, but they just won't give me the source code."
Yeah I know its Max Normal aka Waddy, Wingers. Apparently he and the Yo-landi chick are married with a kid. What Im not sure about is content of their songs. That chick swears like a wounded Cape Flats whore. I dont know if they are doing some kind of social experiment but flip its heavy.
But damned if they havent managed to get half the intawebs interested in them and even going on a "P$#s groot European Tour" to quote their website.
Haha, yeah I was also very surprised by the big reaction they've been causing overseas... didn't know the 2 were married though.
And the language... jeesh ja, it's quite rough to hear it sung like that, especially on that D@#$dronk song, but actually none of their songs contain anything worse than what I've heard in my 2 years in a men's res at varsity.
Lekker Afrikaanse girls en laaities, in goeie huise groot geword, and when they leave home they suddenly start spewing things that would make a sailor feel uncomfortable.
So I guess it was just a matter of time for the art to catch up with society... I'm actually surprised it took so long.

As dit die antwoord is, wil ek nie weet wat die vraag was nie :/

The best quote I found about this: "Fascinating. And I mean that in the anthropological sense."
"This is odd stuff. I feel like this makes more sense within the context of District 9 than the real world."
Solank hulle net onthou ons issie almal so nie, hoor?

Ek love die antwoord, dit is awesome!
Kevin Rose (founder of Digg) actually "digg"ed them, they will surely get international acclaim now. Max Normal is a genius!
