Just to clarify something

We had a kid on the server the other day who accused everyone of hacking and became downright rude after people ragged him a bit. I don't recall the nick but I have the little blighter's tags, so I can dig it out of needed. I told him on in-game chat to 'stuff off', exactly in these words.

However, the game turned it into something along the lines of '&^@$* off'.

Why it did that, will remain a mystery to me. I wasn't aware that 'stuff' was a swear word. I was a bit rough with him on in-game chat but not deliberately nasty.

Maybe someone can shed light on this...

His name was Cyber Dog 2.6.7

Oh - and if the server is logging chats, which I think it probably is - what you said should be in plain text for the admin to see anyway.

I had Bakgat call me out because of my obligatory "haxx" chirp everytime someone pulls off an amazing stunt. Thinking about it properly it isn't nice to have someone openly spewing such insinuations & I have decided not to use that chirp anymore in the chat - BUT that doesn't mean you lot will be excused in TS

A similar thing happened to me a while back. Veer (I think) was sniping the poo out of me, and I chirped in chat something along the lines of "Veer you sneaky bugger." It came out "Veer you sneaky &*(_&&^." That thing can make you seem rude when you're not.

Rainy I have had the same thing. I say something I think is arb but the server masks it so you end up thinking it was alot worse. Its quite annoying. This is why swearing in afrikaans is full of win

Aha! thats exactly what I said. I called someone a sneaky bugger and that makes it look much worse

Bugger is a slang word for sodomite. Personally I'd rather be called a !@#$%^&er than a sodomite. We can write in the man thread about why.
