Right.

1) Tags.
I've removed that thing that took words out of the thread title and stuck it into the tags field below. I've replaced it with an auto tagging system that tags posts based on the words found in the actual post. I've just spent 3 days processing around 6300 proposed tags to get a workable tag list for the system (and you) to use.

You can still manually tag posts as you like, but no need to worry about it anymore.

If you want to see the top 100 tags, you can view the site tag cloud by clicking the Other Stuff menu on the navbar. For some reason, the word 'hat' seems to be the most popular right now.

The tag list could probably use some further cleaning out, considering there are around 3800 tags in the tag list right now. If you see something in the tag cloud or tag list that really bothers you, please PM me with the word(s), and I'll remove them from the tag list.

I'm all tagged out now.

2) Podcasts. I have included an embedded player on each podcast, so if you're too lazy to download the mp3 and import it into your player etc, you can simply stream it from the site now. It may take awhile to buffer though. I stole the player from Google.

For some reason, the word 'hat' seems to be the most popular right now.

I'm not sure where you would look for this, but when you process your posts, does it look for whole words only? I looked at the threads under the hat tag, and many don't have the word hat in them. What they do have is "what" "that" etc. lots of words containing the hat sequence...

I hope this is helpful.

Also I'm sure there's something wrong with your algorithm as there's no Ice cream sox tag.

observation:
On the front page you have the latest posts and forums. Does this (Shouldn't this) also apply to the tags in the tag cloud?

Wonder if its possible but it would flow with the rest of the info. That is the front right page shows all the recent info on the site ie. latest posts, latest forums and then popular tags for the last say 3 months. Is it even possible to have tags "post dates" assigned to tags? lol seems like too much info to store when I think of it but I have no clue what forum tools/algorithms have been developed out there.
