Lol… was away. No duress!
I’m trying to learn French and 500 days ago I got properly stuck into it. To be honest, there are plenty days where I do the bare minimum in order to keep the streak going though… The nagging/vaguely threatening reminders are mostly amusing to me, but they can also be disabled.
On the plus side I quite enjoy the stories that you unlock after you have learned enough basics - they are lame, but make you feel powerful when you can read and understand them.
Lol jokes aside I hope you got them turned off. What a distraction.
I have kept them on because they tend to pop up at the same time every day - the time I’d normally practice. Also I’m not that good at remembering to do it, so there’s no way I would have got that streak without them!
Textbook duress here.
