I have a wireless one but haven’t used it for aaaaages. I’m hoping the control is the same as freelancer with the mouse.
I have a logitech extreme , not a hotas , but If I get into this game I think I will get one
I see you can switch between keyoard and game controller … <->not joystick , so I hope the support for it will be done

I’ve got a Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X. It’s entry level, but it’s quite nice, and wasn’t terribly expensive.

have you guys figured out how to use your ship’s guns on the shooting range ?
I stumbled on it , you have to at the holocontroll remove a gun off your ship , add it to the firing range unit and BAM , you can practice shooting … quite fun , as long as you don’t hit the back , then you get nice white blocks 
This is gonna cost me money
